1. Our Privacy Philosophy

We operate on a principle of data minimization. We only collect the minimum information required to provide accurate educational answers. We do not sell, trade, or rent your or your child's personal data to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

• Parent Account Information: name, email address, and payment details. Payment information is processed securely by Razorpay and is not stored on our servers.
• Educational Context: your child's grade level and school board or curriculum.
• Questions and Uploaded Images: homework questions, uploaded images, selected answer language, and selected curriculum/class context needed to generate educational responses.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your parent account.
• To deliver curriculum-aligned answers appropriate for your child's class and board.
• To send homework text and uploaded homework images to OpenAI so the app can generate an answer.
• To process subscription payments via Razorpay.
• To send billing, support, and important service communications.

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose outside the delivery of our educational service.

4. Third-Party Processors

• OpenAI: homework text, uploaded homework images, selected answer language, and selected curriculum/class context are sent to OpenAI to generate educational answers. We do not send your password or payment card details to OpenAI.
• Razorpay: payment processing for India and global transactions. Razorpay's privacy policy governs the payment data they process.

5. Children's Privacy

HiGriva is designed for parent-guided use. A parent or guardian creates and manages the account. We process a child's educational content only to provide requested homework support and do not use it for advertising.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your account profile and saved homework history remain in HiGriva until you delete them or delete your account. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, fraud prevention, accounting, or payment obligations.
